Dean Walking

Dean finally decided to try walking without holding on to something, he did good but he is being stubborn and still refusing to walk. I wonder where he could have gotten his stubborness.

CHRISTMAS

My first candy cane, you can tell Dad gave it to him because he still has his clothes on.
Do you want a kiss, Mom?

He wasn't really excited about presents, but he liked the paper.
We went to see the lights in Ogden a couple of weeks ago, Dean wasn't too impressed.

Deans toy drawer

Dean figured out that his jacket has a zipper on it, and it is fun to suck on.
Then he found out that the loop on the zipper fits perfectly around his two teeth, that is when he didn't think it was fun anymore.

So to try and keep the living room clean we put Deans toys in the drawer of the entertainment center, so now he knows it is his drawer, and he will now spend hours sitting in his drawer and playng with his toys.
Mom I can't sit in the drawer if you put all the toys back in it.

Deans Birthday with the Wheeler Family

Dean decided that this cake and ice cream thing is pretty good. He even got a liitle of it in his mouth.

Dean actually did better than we expected with his presents, except he thought that he should be able to eat the paper.

Dean's 1st birthday - Jess's family

He had more fun playing in it rather than eating it.

He had to poke it to make sure it was done.

He was slow but he eventually got them open.

Random photos

Dean is obsessed with the dishwasher. If he hears Jess open it up he comes crawling as fast as possible and takes out the silverware to suck on. Yuck!

The Wheeler Family Christmas party - Dean's first visit with Santa.

In Mike's family the weekend after Thanksgiving means only one thing - the Christmas Tree. We go up to Mountain Green to a tree farm and chop down our own tree. This was Dean's first year to go and it was a cold one.

Our family photo - Mike does not go anywhere without that dog.

Dean in his halloween costume. He was the Red Baron.

As you can see Dean loves drinking through a straw, and he gets upset if you don't keep it coming.

Jess loves pumpkins so much that we had to go again. This time we went to a little patch in Logan with Mike's parents. This is Dean in the back of the car with the load. (Maggie, Mike's parent's dog, is also wanting her photo taken.)

Dean in the middle of the pumpkins.

Whenever we are in Logan we go visit Mike's grandparent's graves.
Dean is picking out one of the pumpkins to decorate the grave with.

We went to a reception today that was a carnival. Mike went to the face painting booth and asked them if they could hit a moving target. This is the aftermath. The photographer followed this boy around taking pictures because he was just too cute.

Dean with the pumpkins. Mike has the boring "perfect" pumpkin. Jess has the special pumpkin.

We went to the pumpkin patch and as you can tell, the family was thrilled. Dean was too busy playing with his new pumpkin and Mike was "tired." Jess had fun.

Bathtime with Dean - always an adventure!

There was a need for a new photo of Dean on the wall. After thirty minutes of taking photos, this was the best we got.

Here are some of the deer that we saw.
There is actually a bull moose standing in front of this tree.
Here are some photos of our drive with Mike's parents.

Now, if you could not tell, this is a moose's butt. Deanna, Mike's mother, loves moose and could not talk about anything else for rest of the trip.

The happy boy gets out of the car to "stretch his legs."

We took Frontrunner to downtown Ogden this weekend. Dean spent the time banging and yelling at the windows. He loved it.

Just some random photos

Outside with Mom - this boy loves to glare!

Since Dean is now crawling and climbing everywhere, we had to lower the crib. Dean immediately pulled himself into a standing position and started jumping up and down. He is going to be a crazy child just like Dad.

Dean is thrilled to have his picture taken with Mom.

We went with Mike's parents to the Gateway on Friday night. Dean went to Build-a-Bear for the first time. Unfortunately, he was only interested in the basketball.

Grandpa wouldn't let go of Dean for fear of having to make a bear himself.

We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Biaggi's. Dean had fun trying to eat everything on the table.

Here's Dean eating the paper on top of the tablecloth. He also discovered that the bathrooms at the restaurant echo.
