We had my friend take some pictures of Dean last night. We still need to edit them, but we had to show him off. He is just learning to sit up, so you see Daddy in the picture to catch him when he falls.

These are Mike's Grandparents, Rose and Dean Eames. Mike became very close to them around the age of twelve when he started mowing their lawn every week. When winter came he shoveled their driveway. He spent many hours through the years taking care of them and the yard. Every time MIke would finish Grandpa would say, "Momma, give Mikey some money for ice cream," even though Grandma had already given him some ice cream. When Grandpa died in '96 Mike decided he was going to name his first son Dean after his Grandpa.

This is Grandpa Dean in his younger years. Doesn't he look a little bit like Mike?

This is Dean's first visit to see Grandma and Grandpa Eames.

Deans 4 month Appointment

Dean had his 4 month appointment yesterday. He weighed in at 17 pounds 4 ounces which is in the 75th percentile. And he measured 26 inches long, which is in the 90th percentile.

If you haven't noticed, Dean is a talker. We actually had to take him out of Sacrament meeting because he was being vocal about how happy he was. But no matter how much he talks, it still brings a smile to our faces.

Dean loves jumping in his Jumparoo. It makes Jess sad that he can touch the ground.

Dean went on his first walk today. It was a little cold outside so we made sure that he wasn't.

Daisy got very protective of Jess during her maternity leave.

These are Daisy's best friends, Ginger and Maggie. Owned by Mike's parents, Daisy gets to visit them whenever we are over. Mike's mom even calls Daisy her "granddog". This picture is the usual setup at the house. They all want the same bone, no matter how many there are.

Dean got blessed on February 24 with the name of Mike's grandfather, Dean Eames, who died twelve years ago. We were lucky to have a lot of family at the blessing. The entire left side of the chapel was filled with Mike's Dad's family. My family took up two small pews. We are going to have to attempt a better picture, though. What is sad is that this outfit is 6-9 months.
Dean started pouting the day he was born. It made us feel like the worst parents. This pout is because Daddy tried tickling him.
